Yesterday we had a record snow in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. My neighbors, Harvie & Stan, are shown at right. Stan spent practically the entire day digging his car out of the driveway. There is no place for the snow to go, so they ended up making a "Masonic Temple" snow sculpture usingrecycling bins to make blocks. 
Here it is today. They are supposed to finish it, but it may end up like the Washington Monument when the Civil War came along. It had to be delayed, and they couldn't get the same granite by the time they started again, so it is two different colors.
The garage and the backyard pictures below are just to give an idea of how much snow we actually received. Those "bushes" are really tall Leland Cypress trees that usually hide the building in the background. They have bent over with the weight of the snow.
