Alexandria is suspending snow removal because of blizzard conditions
Yesterday, it appeared that our ordeal was almost over. The roads were somewhat clear, and there were mounds of snow piled everywhere. (See pile of snow in back of us as we were standing in Shirllington right in front of Signature Theatre.) I thought they could probably make a pretty nice ski hill if they were so inclined.
Now, we are back to the blizzard, and the snow plow operations have been temporarily suspended in Alexandria and the rest of DC and surrounding area because of zero visibility.
Please email me at kay@kayblemker.com with your comments. Thanks!

The Morning After
Yesterday we had a record snow in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. My neighbors, Harvie & Stan, are shown at right. Stan spent practically the entire day digging his car out of the driveway. There is no place for the snow to go, so they ended up making a "Masonic Temple" snow sculpture usingrecycling bins to make blocks.
